Glorious Leader predicts Special Membership Meeting in July! Fireworks! Arrests!

July is upon us!   As we're serenaded by the screaming bottle rocket's red glare and the heady sulfurous fumes of illegal  fireworks burning down the house next door in pretty sparkling colors, our thoughts turn to Glorious Leader and her Glorious Words in the not so distant(two months ago) Glorious Past when SOLIDARITY BROKE OUT. 

That's right, comrades!   Glorious Leader and the Cause seemed UNSTOPPABLE....and then those pesky facts started to rear their traitorous heads.

Inconsistencies become known.   Defectors were outed.  Lawsuits; LOLsuits were were not were maybe filed.   This blog was was not is maybe? going to be hacked.  Shockingly,  (and no one was more shocked than us),  Rabia was outed as designing this blog.   Traitors Ben Hoyne, Hadrian and Winston Smith were all outed as outing Comrade Lisa Loving's plan to hack this blog which she has yet to get around to.  The June 24th Board Meeting, even with Glorious Leader's presence, turned out to be a dud for rallying cadre.

It seemed as if, as the evidence piled up, it became clearer and clearer that the Inner Party had no idea what it was talking about. Especially if math and money was involved.

Not only that, but the Inner Party was willing to believe/push any gullible tripe as long as it confirmed their bias that FITCH, her supporters and everything she stood for was EVIL.

But never fear comrades.  Glorious  Leader anticipated these troubled times.  Read her words and be reassured ..it's not too late!

IT IS NOT TOO LATE
We, as members, are not left without recourse. Some are now organizing aSpecial General Membership meeting (probably in July), which would have the power to rescind the terrifically expensive anti-union push, and restore transparency and participation to KBOO.  (Watch this space for details!)  We may have to move quickly on this; once the programming is gutted, the audience changes and members will leave en masse, in disgust.

Ben Hoyn: Hello my name is Ben Hoyn. I'm a former board member I was actually on the board/staff committee that unanimously hired recommended the hiring of Lynn as the station navigator. I've been a part of five different community radio stations and volunteer it is a programmer from rural Alaska to Pacifica and our nation's capital. I also want to commend you guys for coming out today. I would also note that I haven't seen nearly this interest at a finance committee meeting over the past year nor at a board meeting other than last week. So had folks been engaged previously they would've know what's going on. If they'd come to a finance committee meeting they would actually understand what the numbers are. I think everybody here supports unionization from Lynn on down. We need to make sure that we have the proper staff hours allocated for positions for KBOO to succeed. Also I would like to note that this looks like including myself a very homogenous group. Portland is rapidly becoming less homogenous. We need to reach out to communities that are not here. I brought this up with programming frequently while there is some programming limited programming for Native Americans, Pacific Islanders are excluded, eastern Asians are excluded, Latin Americans minus a few Tejano shows and a great Tuesday afternoon show is largely excluded.

Deven: That's bullshit. That's total bullshit. Sorry.

Ben Hoyn: ... Brazilian music, South American is excluded. East Asian again Pacific Islander, all sorts of commuties are excluded. We need to recheck to the broader community and bring them in so that were not so homogenous thanks.
